Bug Fixes in Overseer Version 1.601
The following bug in Overseer Admin 1.600 was fixed in version 1.601
- An error message "Invalid variant type conversion" was displayed upon clicking the Edit Users button on the Update Licenses for LAN and Grades Application screen. The latter screen is accessed via the Licenses button on the Staff tabsheet of the School | Reference menu option. This error only occurred after adding new staff to the roster following installation of Overseer Admin 1.600. Once this error was encountered, no new teachers could be granted User rights for the Overseer Grades application. This bug was fixed in version 1.601.
The following bug in Overseer Admin 1.600 and Overseer LAN 1.600 was fixed in version 1.601
- When multiple users are importing Grades marks and comments at the same time via Overseer Admin or Overseer LAN, processing could fail for one user if another user has a temporary lock on a table record being accessed simultaneously by both users. Version 1.601 traps this scenario and gives the second user the option of resuming processing after the problem record has been released by the first user. This enables the second user to avoid having to repeat the entire import procedure.
There were no bug fixes in Overseer Grades 1.600. Consequently no version upgrade has been created for this application.
