Support Provider for Overseer Software

Robust Software Solutions (RSS) acquired the assets of Robust Software Inc. (RSI) on October 20, 2009 for the purpose of providing on-going support to users of the Overseer suite of products developed by RSI. In doing so, RSS acquired full rights to the Overseer products which are still available for purchase (from RSS) although no further updates of these products are currently planned.

RSI was the original developer of robust school administrative software for independent elementary schools, in Canada and around the world.

Most of these schools do not have a captive market but have to rely on a good reputation and the encouragement of their support community. On-going community development is an essential part of each school’s success story.

RSI’s first product, Overseer Admin was released in 1998. This was later extended into its user-friendly Overseer Suite of applications for the school office and teaching staff, as well as a new report card design tool, Overseer Reports, for creating custom report card templates for use within the Overseer Suite.

Rather than offering a large number of independent modules, RSI packed a lot of functionality into very few well-integrated applications for ease of use and cost-effective packaging. Overseer uses a relational database, has a wealth of data mining features, incorporates many convenient reports and has some powerful utilities which simplify management of the applications and databases.

By using e-mail for sales and technical support, RSS endeavours to pass on the efficiencies of the Internet to its users in the form of free or low-cost software and support.

Customers with valid support contracts can still receive ongoing support via email using the support@ email address provided to them.
